I have been trying to cross-reference my work for my MCC classes and my homework from my classes at SDSU. I had already created a series of videos for MAT125 all about small bits of coding using Jing. These 3-5 minute videos have been a tremendous amount of help. However, one problem students consistently have that i had not addressed is problems with file uploading, storage, etc.
I needed to make a video for EdTec561. So I made one on File Management. Instead of using Jing, I opted to make a real video using Final Cut Pro. A little bit higher class. I did the whole script, storyboard, production plan. Drew the cartoons. Persuaded my son's band, The Blue Moonies, to let me use some of their original music - a song titled "Powdered Toast". And enlisted my husband's help in putting the pieces together.
I just uploaded it to YouTube. My very first ever YouTube upload. Here is the link.
Sometimes it takes a small community, or team effort to pull the pieces together. We can each take our piece of knowledge and join it with someone elses - and make a teachable moment or two.
